Thirsk - 'All Creatures Great and Small'
You can visit Thirsk home and surgery to vet James Herriott in 'All Creatures Great and Small'. The 1950s themed rooms give a unique tribute to Alf Wight – the author of the James Herriot novels. You can have hands on fun in the farm and try your hand in the TV studios. Visitors can also investigate a wide variety of veterinary equipment.

Goathland - 'Heartbeat'
This moorland village has attracted visitors since the 19th Century but numbers soared as a result of its setting for Aidensfield in the television series 'Heartbeat'. There is a station on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway and walkers can enjoy a stroll to Mallyan Spout, Beck Hole, Darnholm, Grosmont and the Roman Road. |
